The Palo Alto Professional Firefighters organization is dedicated to protecting the employment rights and working conditions of the sworn men and women whom have committed their careers to serving the citizens of Palo Alto. Under the charter of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Palo Alto Firefighters Local 1319 is a non-profit organization that is governed by a six-member executive board under the current leadership of President Ryan Stoddard.
Palo Alto Firefighters take great pride in the many disciplines that define our craft and the list of services we provide to the public continues to evolve with today's changing world. Today, we provide staffing to six fire stations that are comprised of six engine companies, three paramedic ambulances and a truck company serving both the City of Palo Alto, and Stanford University. In 2017, firefighters responded to approximately 10,000 emergency calls.
